Blue Creek Health Spa Acupuncture Denver

The Chinese discovered acupuncture more than 5,000 years ago, finding that pressing certain points on the body relieved pain where it occurred and also benefited other parts of the body more remote from the pain and the pressure point.*  Gradually, they found other locations that not only alleviated pain but also influenced the functioning of certain internal organs.

Acupuncture addresses illness or dis-ease by placing needles into a person’s skin at particular points (or meridians) on the body. At Blue Creek, a licensed acupuncturist uses a variety of diagnostic tools, prior to treatment, including charting the pulse, examining the tongue, and inquiring constitutional heath questions in order to determine what imbalances are the root cause of a patient’s condition. Conditions that may be greatly improved or resolved include fibromyalgia, migraine headaches, food sensitivities, muscular or joint pain, irritable bowel syndrome, anxiety/depression, fatigue, gynecological issues and more. Treatment follow-up is then recommended based on the patient’s condition and progress.

Blue Creek Acupuncture offers a semi-private treatment style that allows for group healing among patients. Each treatment space is divided by flowing curtains, creating privacy and quiet, yet maintaining an airy, open room filled with healing energy. Treating multiple patients in a community environment allows Blue Creek to offer an affordable rate, while maintaining tradition and quality of treatment.

Community acupuncture is a return to tradition – acupuncture has been a community based medicine for most of it’s long history. In Asia, acupuncture is usually practiced in group rather than the individual settings. For acupuncture to be most effective, patients need to receive it frequently and regularly. – CAN website
